West of Denver

Up until this weekend the furthest west of Chicago I have ever been was Denver. I am writing this post from gate 86 at SFO.

I flew out to Washington Dulles International Airport on Friday after work with plans to spend Saturday with Abigail. It turns out that the day off we thought she’d have turned out to be the start of a long work week. Instead of just spending the night and heading back to Chicago after breakfast on Saturday, I decided to go with her. That took us from Baltimore through Chicago to Vancouver, BC for the evening. *smile*

This morning we got up early-ish and took a taxi to a local place called Blenz Coffee. The White Chocolate Mocha I had and the Cinnamon roll we shared was yummy!

After the coffee we walked around a town a little (except it was cold and rainy) so we quickly found a place to get fish & chips. Also yummy, and just a block or so from the coffee place.

Back to the airport and off to SFO. I am here for a 5 hour layover then a flight back to Chicago.

Abigail has already kept on going to her next destination, but we had a nice goodbye. I’ll see her again in a week or so.

{Abby & Timo reading a Bible story book.}

Yesterday was an easy day for me but a bit of a restless day for Abby & Helana. They were working on a college paper Helana had that was due by midnight of that day. I spent most of the day reading but they worked on the paper. After a bit of panic when getting close to the midnight deadline they finished and they stayed up and talked. I just went to bed.

Today we were at the zoo with Timo & Caroline. They loved seeing some of the animals and visiting the aquarium. We also got some great pictures. :)

I got my dates wrong again… it’s kinda hard to keep track of the days now. I don’t get days mixed-up very easily, but the 7-hour time change really got me off this time. We leave for Amsterdam tomorrow. Lol. I think.

always learning,
