Stolen iPhone 3G

Posted: August 8th, 2008 | Author: admin | Filed under: General | 2 Comments »

I was just robbed. I’m fine, but a little sore from the choke hold and being thrown to the ground. The serial number of my iPhone is 888250ZQY7H. If you have/find an iPhone with this information IT IS STOLEN. A police report has been filed and phone/data service has been suspended.

Always Learning,

UPDATE: I have been unable to get AT&T nor Apple to help me in replacing my iPhone.

Problem is I was told at the Apple store (when purchasing my iPhone) that the AT&T insurance covers my iPhone in case of it being lost or stolen by one of the service reps there. At the Apple store (when purchasing my wife the new iPhone) I was told Applecare covered the phone. Turns out both are NOT true. AT&T does not cover the iPhone with any kind of insurance whatsoever. Apple’s AppleCare only covers manufacturing defects. I suddenly do not like Apple or AT&T much anymore. Because I have to either get a new iPhone or pay $175 to cancel my current monthly data plan contract I am considering leaving AT&T all together and going with Sprint.
